As Principal and Co-Owner of BrownFlynn, Margie leads the Firm’s sales and business development initiatives and serves as lead Principal of several key client engagements. Margie speaks the language of triple bottom-line impact and has been instrumental in shaping a variety of corporate responsibility and sustainability strategies for regional, national and global corporations and organizations. Her strong commitment to ethical business practices and eye on global impact also make Margie a dynamic speaker and trusted advisor for clients who seek to improve their business practices while catalyzing positive change throughout their organizations. She is a guest lecturer for numerous local and national conferences, venues and colleges/universities, and is author of several published articles regarding sustainability and entrepreneurship in local and national publications.
Margie is actively involved in numerous local and national civic and business organizations, including the Industrial Minerals Association of North America, the Northeast Ohio Chapter of Conscious Capitalism, Net Impact, In Counsel with Women, the GreenCityBlueLake Board of Advisors, Cleveland Carbon Fund Advisory Committee, Corporate Sustainability Network Steering Committee, and board chair of American Red Cross Blood Services of Northern Ohio. She is president of her 2004 Leadership Cleveland class and is a member of Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson’s Sustainability Council.
In her “spare” time, Margie aims to keep fit and enjoys a variety of physical fitness activities—all designed to offset her love for sweets. She also relishes a day at a spa, an outing with friends, serving her church or traveling to new, exciting places (and there are many places left on her “bucket list” she aspires to visit). A proud mother of three grown boys, Margie is spoiled by her husband’s great culinary skills, yet will never pass up a peaceful dinner out.
