GRI Looks to Supply Chain Transparency

New Global Action Network to train multinationals’ suppliers in reporting


In a push for transparency and accountability, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) launched a new network to promote sustainability in multinational corporations’ supply chains.


The GRI Global Action Network for Transparency in the Supply Chain aims to enroll multinational firms in an effort to entice their suppliers to use the GRI G3 Guidelines to disclose publicly their sustainability track record and challenges.

Timberland alters timetable, uses social networking site to reach stakeholders


Timberland’s corporate responsibility reporting just took a Web 2.0 twist.

The Stratham, N.H., footwear and apparel company overhauled its CR reporting frequency and process, utilizing a social networking/community website,, to publicize its efforts and engage stakeholders in interactive ways.


CRO (Corporate Responsibility Officer) Magazine Provides New Access to Sustainability Reports, which is affiliated with CRO (Corporate Responsibility Officer) magazine, implemented a content partnership with the U.K.'s that gives visitors to access to the globe's largest database of corporate responsibility and sustainability reports.
